29 March 2019  MooloolaBaBQ Festival

At Mooloolaba’s Wharf Precinct you can celebrate in style with the MooloolaBaBQ Festival. With some of Australia’s best BBQ cooks coming from all over Australia, there will bea huge BBQ competition with a variety of food and flavours. With over $6,000 cash and prizes up for grabs you do not want to miss it. There will be live music, food trucks and craft beers on the streets as well as free entry for the kids with a jumping castle, petting zoo and face painting. Fireworks at the end of the night will be the perfect way to celebrate in style.


13 April 2019  NRL: New Zealand Warriors vs. South Sydney Rabbitohs

The NRL is on its way to the Sunshine Coast. With a stadium expansion and our very own NRL team forecasted, it is an exciting place to visit. The first game New Zealand Warriors vs South Sydney Rabbitohs will be hosted at Kawana, just 7kms down the road.


19 - 21 July 2019  Velothon Sunshine Coast

“The Roads. The Glory. The Banter.”

Want the ultimate Winter getaway with a bit of exercise and adventure included? Get involved in the Velothon Sunshine Coast. A scenic ride from the beaches to the Hinterland, you will have the option to race competitively or make it a not so serious, fun adventure.

28 July 2019  Pomona King of the Mountain

Taking place in the Hinterland, Pomona Kind of the Mountain is an event suitable for the entire family. The main event consists of a 4.2km run up the face of Mt. Cooroora, but there are other activities more appropriate for those not wanting to compete including Tug-O-War and a skate park competition. For those wanting food and beverages or to take a look at local arts and craft, there is the Heritage Market and Antiques and Collectables Fair on in town.

8 - 11 August 2019  The Curated Plate

A four-day food festival is here on the Sunshine Coast. The festival will bring together the region's best produce with the finest chefs within Australia and Internationally.


8 September 2019  Ironman 70.3

This event welcomes competitors from all across the globe to compete for the ultimate prize. Mooloolaba is the perfect setting thanks to its warm climate and spectacular beaches. A 1.9km swim will start competitors off, followed by a 90km bike lap, finishing with a 21.1km race which finishes in central Mooloolaba.
