If you are wanting to beat that Summer heat for a few hours, check out these indoor activities that will keep the younger and older kids (incl. Dad) entertained. There are many adventures undercover local to Nautilus, Mooloolaba.
Ninja Jungle is a playground/ fitness centre for all ages, based on the popular reality show Ninja Warrior this indoor jungle gym gets everyone involved in the fun! Ninja Jungle has a café onsite, which turns into a Tibetan restaurant most nights during the week. Check the website for details about session times and other events that may be on during your stay.
2. Flow Bouldering Gym (Indoor Rock Climbing) – Forest Glen
The Flow Bouldering Gym is a rock climbing centre offering all-day access passes to you and your family. Similar to Ninja Jungle, this indoor activity is centred around indoor rock climbing and challenging yourself to reach new heights.
The Big Boing is a trampoline park that is fun for all ages, with loads of trampolines, an obstacle course and basketball hoops, the kids will be having an early one tonight. Prices vary depending on the height and/or age and bookings are required via the website or by phone.
Open seven days a week, your kids are pretty much guaranteed to have fun at LaserZone. Also known as laser tag, the kids can suit up and play different themed shooting games in the indoor obstacle.
The staff knows how to make it fun, and this is a great option if you want to be involved as a parent too. You can run or walk or just hide out like a sniper. Along with laser tag, they also have virtual reality games and an arcade too.
Holey Moley is located in the Ocean Street Precinct in Maroochydore, they have a variety of indoor activities for kids and adults alike. Some of the options at this indoor fun centre include putt-putt or mini golf, ten-pin bowling, karaoke, arcade-style games, pool tables, and more.
They also have a bar! So not only for good for beating the heat,, but also in the evening, this can be a great place for the whole family to hang out.
6. Sunshine Coast Pinball – Nambour
Newly established at C-Square in Nambour, Sunshine Coast Pinball has loads of pinball machines and other games like ghetto hockey (air hockey) and table pool. They are also in the same location as the Majestic Cinema.
Majestic Cinema Nambour is an old-school cinema that shows a variety of mainstream and world movies. There are lots of kids’ movies, especially during the weekdays and school holidays.
Sunny Coast Local Tip – Downtown Burgers in Nambour sells a burger and movie deal. The burgers are great and it means you can get lunch or dinner, plus a few games of pinball and a movie. Your kids will love it.
